The other day, Brad Miller of the Western Mass. Pioneers Soccer
team called me. Being an avid soccer player, I enjoyed talking
with him about his career as a Division I professional soccer
player.
Q: When did you first start playing soccer ?
A: I started to play soccer when I was 8.
Q: What teams have you played for ?
A: I have played for Lusitanos, UMass, and the Pioneers.
Q: What position do you play ?
A: I play defense.
Q: How often do the Pioneers practice ?
A: Our team practices two to three times a week plus games.
Q: What other teams do you play ?
A: We play teams from New York, New Jersey, New Hampshire, and
the Carolinas.
Q: What other hobbies do you enjoy besides soccer ?
A: Well I have a lot of them. I like fishing the best, but then
I would have to say that I like all outdoor activities.
Q: What is your most memorable moment playing soccer ?
A: I would have to say winning the Division I Soccer Championship
with the Pioneers in 1999.
Q: What are your future goals as a soccer player ?
A: I would like to win the US Cup some day, and also win the
Division I Championship with the Pioneers again.
Good Luck with your season this year Brad!!!
